Way back when, my husband and I spent many days at the Lion's Drag Strip and at another Drag Strip down there with a couple of his buddies and their wives. Irwindale Drag Strip, if I remember right. The bunch of us built a dragster and raced it at both strips! Oh what memories!

ReplyDeleteI used to race my Austin Healey in E-Sport class at lions back in 1957and 58. Never trophied, but had great fun.
Then, a few years ago, I was reading a book on Southern California and ran across a photo of Lions...and there I was, second in line and ready to run.
