A Quiet Morning

There's supposed to be local frost this morning and I'm sure of it happening here. Along with dense fog, it makes for a gloomy morning. It would be a good morning for a fire, but I have to replace the seal around the door on the woodstove first; a messy job.

Signs of the times… went shopping for essentials yesterday and noted that real 'cut' Christmas trees were selling for $20. All about 6' tall and really quite good looking. Full and fresh. And on our way out of town, noted that the Christmas tree lot on the corner of East Ave. and Hwy 32 is only about half the size it was last year.

The petty economies of the rich are just as amazing as the silly extravagances of the poor.
