Shameful

Browsing as usual when I ran across this nasty piece of work from one of the Supremes.

"Questioning the Supreme Court and other government branches needs to stay within the range of fair criticism or "run the risk in our society of undermining institutions that we need to preserve our liberties," Justice Clarence Thomas said Thursday."

How dare he! For shame! And who decides what 'fair criticism' is? The court? And that bit about 'running the risk of undermining institutions et al' comes right from the playbooks of those who would take away our liberties, not preserve them!

  1. Plus, consider the implication: Other institutions, presumably Democratically controlled ones, are fair game for unfair criticism. And this guy was Bush I's best-qualified candidate for the SC? Or am I being unfair...
