No Complaints Here...

Lately I’ve received e-mail that has contained articles scolding those who would dare to complain about, well…anything. The articles state that we’re all “spoiled brats” and that we have no right to complain when we have so much. Then the article lists all of the wonders of our American world and telling us that we should stop carping and just be more thankful… Apparently, the right wing nuts have lost any ability to think critically and must now resort to scolding instead of debating. This tired logic is usually seen only as a last resort attempt by those who would have us become sheep, so I’m hoping that they will now slowly fade away.

Let’s see what’s in the news. Libby may be pardoned by Bush? Nope, can’t complain. Top general says we will probably be in Iraq longer than planned. No complaints there. The war is going to cost even more than stated a few weeks ago. I’m not saying a word. Murder rates have increased by 10% nationwide. Mum’s the word. How about the weather forecast? Ah! Sunny and sunnier… let’s talk about that instead.
