This mornings Time Goes By is quite good. Ronni pays a visit to a lot of things that interest me. There is a video by a couple of Gen X’ers that defies description. They are funny! And health care/nursing homes; another hot topic for me.
About 6 weeks ago, a friend of ours suffered a compression fracture of the spine and was admitted to the local hospital. After some corrective surgery, (glue job) she was released to a care facility for rehab therapy. After a couple of weeks there, Medicare insisted that she be moved to a less expensive rehab hospital. Now another two weeks have gone by and she is anxious to go home. She feels good and she looks good. But they have insisted on keeping her for another week. This, coincidentally, just happens to be the amount of time left on her Medicare eligibility for that hospital. Could there be some relationship?
