Links

Here are a couple of good links to the types INFP and ISFJ. I am the INFP and my wife is the ISFJ. (Thank goodness!)

I am pretty sure that my mother was also an ISFJ, while my father might have been an INFP. I’m still undecided about that…What’s that old song, “I want a girl, just like the girl that married dear old dad!”?

Hmmm...I think Grandpa was an INFP who knew how to deal with the weaknesses of the INFP. I have an unbiased opinion of course...because...well...he got me... he was an INFP...who will always be larger than life to me...I may have this unrealistic/idealistic view of him(which I am ok with...so noone needs to discuss it with me or set me "straight")...he was and always will be my lifesaver grandpa in so many many ways. My time in the moving van (to Janesville in January???)with him was the most meaningful conversations EVER in my life. Could not tell you verbatim what he said. But he acknowledged me and how I was feeling and encouraged me to no end. I hated losing him...he got me...and I thought he was the smartest, most handsome, greatest, kindest, most successful (he always drove big cars and brought us LOTS of lifesavers-shopping bags full). He made people feel at ease...his easy assurance made you trust him...his charisma made you love him. He got mad here and there...more frustrated than mad...but laughed about it later...understood his weaknesses but moved past them with style...

  2. "weaknesses of the INFP"? INFP's don't have weaknesses any more than ESTJ's do...One of my reference books on this subject is titled, I'm not crazy, I'm just not you. And so it is with Type. We're different, that's all. Unfortunately, INFP's make up only 1% of the world's population so we sometimes feel overwhelmed.
