Morning Musings

I must tell you that I’m enjoying the company of our new cat. We haven’t had a pet of any kind for many years and so this is somewhat of an experiment. Cats are thought to be somewhat aloof, inscrutable and generally critical of their owners and “Boo” is no exception to that. She never comes when called and turns up her nose at what is being offered for her dinner. But she purrs like crazy when you pick her up and pet her. What is it about purring that satisfies us so? Do cats purr for themselves? or for us? Deep subject!

And on a different subject, I Googled my own name this morning. Whoa! There’s a reality check for you…unless your name is Yelniclk J. Zymurgy, you will find all sorts of people that share “your” name. And along with the name you will see a tidbit of information as to what or who these people are. I already knew about Steve Dunn, the TV news anchor in Portland and I had read of Steve Dunn, the cancer patient who wrote advice on cancer treatment. But I wasn’t prepared for all of the others! Very humbling. Don’t do this unless you are very certain of just who you are…
