Careful with the labels, I think what you meant was secular conservatives not conservative christians. Most of the most secular conservatives are really liberal when it comes to their theology, which is why they demand that the be wished a "Merry Christmas" or feel the need to defend the Most High God.
C.S. Lewis is a conservative christian, Pat Robertson is a liberal christian.
I prefer orthodox christian to liberal/conservative myself.
No. My labels were correct. That is why they were Capitlaized. And C.S. Lewis was most definitely a liberal and a christian. Pat Robertson is conservative...
OK, enough Liberal vs liberal and conservative vs Conservative...Jesus is none of those things and doesn't care what we call ourselves. I shouldn't have begun by name calling.

ReplyDeleteDarn Typo!! "Capitalized"
ReplyDeleteHmmm, liberal in what way Steve? He was very orthodox which would put him at odds with both secular liberals and secular conservatives.
ReplyDeleteRobertson is a liberal christian yet a secular conservative (and I question if he is conservative or just suffering from dementia).

ReplyDeleteOh, but the temptation!
