Senator Lieberman

I don’t understand…

“Mr. Lieberman noted that his positions on Iraq had not changed over the years, dating from 1991, when he supported the first Persian Gulf War.”

Why would that be considered a good thing? Why would you admit that you have been blind to the facts for the past 14 years? And that you don’t intend to change your mind in any way?

  1. Blind to the facts? Steve, you have to revise history to believe that the majority of the world didn't think Iraq was a problem. Now granted the Senator may is probably putting Israels interest into the mix he is hardly wrong. You aren't one of those that believes we are the terrorist (line Sen. Kerry) and the poor muslims are the oppresed are you?

Sen. Lieberman is one of the only Dems that I would ever vote for, not because of this issue but because he actually seems to have integrity.

  2. Yes, he has been blind to the facts. No, I do believe the majority of the world believed that Saddam was a problem. There is a big difference between a "problem" and "cooking the facts" to substantiate a regime change. And Lieberman exulting in the fact that his mind hasn't changed in 14 years? Sounds like a non-thinker to me! Or a politician...I'm scared of people who can't or won't change their minds.

  3. You wrote, "Now granted the Senator may is probably putting Israels interest into the mix...he is hardly wrong" Wrong he is. Israel needs to be called onto the carpet and made to reveal their nuclear capability. They have never been a responsible party when it comes to atomic weapons. The Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty was signed by many responsible nations...why not Israel? Why do they hide it?
