Absolutely

“President Bush said he found it "amazing" to be accused of breaking the law by ordering a secret program to intercept calls and e-mails.”

  1. Why not the rest of the quote, the part about how he briefed leaders in congress about the activity....Maybe they contributed to the commision of a criminal act, or maybe they looked at FDR and Lincoln and figured taping phones was a minor intrusion. Now I'm sure the pedophiles that got busted in the justice department sting after 9/11 would cry foul.

  2. Leaders in Congress? And whom would that be? And the fact that Lincoln or FDR did something similar certainly doesn't make it right, now or then. If we use history as an excuse, then anything is possible!
