Also in the morning’s news were stories of Iran’s moving assets to prevent them from being seized if the UN moves ahead on threats to enforce economic sanctions. The scene in the Middle East is chaotic; although we (The U.S.) are threatening Iran because of nuclear ambition, we are quite cozy with Pakistan. And that nation is very unstable and already owns a large number of nukes. Plus the fact that we support Israel and they won’t reveal anything about their nuclear capabilities. They won’t even join the Nuclear Non-Proliferation club. It looks like we have painted ourselves into a tight corner.

  2. You wouldn't like it...

Anonymous? Can't you do better than that?

  3. Israel has long pronounced that it's goal is nothing less than the total annhilation of the Arabs and Persians correct? Oh wait, that it what the Arabs and Persians have been saying.....

I think you are being intellectually dishonest if you think at all that the American government is at all happy with the Pakistan situation. I would think rational thought would bring one to the conclusion that we deal with the hand we are dealt and sometimes what we do with one country is going to be different than what we do with another. It's only logical and I'm sure if America didn't there would be a blog posting asserting the stupidity of America having a blanket policy with all countries.

  4. On the first comment...Israel's deceit only aggravates a bad situation. Because of their deception, they are not to be trusted.

On the second comment...I didn't say that the administration is "happy"...only "cozy". And no it's not logical to be less than honest with ALL countries.

  5. Do you really think it is "cozy" Steve. I heard a retired CIA officer state Pakistan keeps him awake at night.

Great let's let every country have access to our secrets.... Let's see where that gets us.

How about a post with some positives for once?

What is your type indication again? I'm an ESTP. I'd like to see if it's just your hard wiring that makes the glass half empty every time. I sure have learned alot about my behaviors thanks to that Myers-Briggs report.

  6. Cozy is not synonymous with friendship. Cozy is an arrangement. Which our government has with Mushareff. That should scare everyone…which, if you will remember, was the point of my original statement.

Of course you are an ESTP. I had you pegged as an ESTJ or P. Since iNtuition and Thinking are Introverted functions for you, you rely more on your Senses. Do you still have your numerical scores? Be careful…the famous last words for many ESTP’s has been, “Hey guys! Watch this!)

Now as far as the “level within the glass”…I am an INFP. This actually makes me more liable to be optimistic and this is true. What you see as a cynicism is in truth, realism. I know things can be better. Cynics are convinced that “all is lost”.

Last, I didn’t say that we should reveal our secrets…I said we should be honest in our dealings with other countries. There is a big difference. We should be uniformly insisting on nuclear disarmament…all nations. A favored few should not be allowed any exemption to that. That’s dishonest and the rest of the world recognizes that.
