Wednesday is here and I’m pretty sure it’s windy…I can hear the wind chimes ringing outside. It’s too dark to see if it’s raining. The forecast now calls for intermittent rain throughout the rest of the week with the temperatures lowering into the 30’s, not exactly cheery weather.
And what is new this morning? Not much to mention. I have my coffee in front of me and I’m scanning all of the news reports while trying to get my brain engaged. And sure enough, there’s a report on “Sleep Inertia”, the term used to describe the effects felt during the first three minutes of waking, "For a short period, at least, the effects of sleep inertia may be as bad as or worse than being legally drunk," said researcher Kenneth Wright of the University of Colorado at Boulder” But here’s the scary part… “That befuddled feeling usually lasts for at least a few minutes but may be detectable for up to two hours, Wright wrote in a report published in this week's issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association.” Does that mean I should refrain from “driving” this computer for the first few hours of the day?
And, just in case I’m befuddled, here’s a link to an article on nanotechnology safety. For safety’s sake, I won’t comment on it for another hour and a half.
