Arnold

According to the news reports, our acting governor has decided to avoid theatrics for awhile; making his public appearances sans Hummer and bandwagons. Let’s face it though…he‘s still an actor! And I’m certain that the props are just waiting in the wings. As soon as he thinks he needs them, he’ll trot them all out with great fanfare…

And during the month of January, “Democratic rivals Controller Steve Westly and Treasurer Phil Angelides were barely visible”…Well, I listened to a short speech from Steve Westly and it impressed me. He has a good technology background and he hasn’t been in Sacramento for his whole life, as Angelides has. Maybe he’s the one?

  1. Phil Angelides is awful the worst type of politician. I spoke with some Greek Orthodox clergy that shared they wouldn't allow him to take communion without some serious discussion (and repentance). Phil likes to use being Greek Orthodox when it means votes from the ethnic crowd. Phil went to the enthronment cermemony for his eminence Metropolitan Gerasimos. He gave a campaign speech targeted at Greeks. Truth be told to the faithful Phil is nominal at best and supports a platform that is against his own church.

Steve Westly on the other hand is a pro business democrat which probably means he won't get the far left vote.
I like Steve Westly, he is probably more conservative than Ahhh-nold.

  2. Steve Westly is neither left or right...those are labels and only mean something to the person applying them.

He says some good things. (But that's just talk) He doesn't have a lot of negative press and that is a good sign. A good governor should be a facilitator and not a power figure...which only leads to confrontation and inevitable losses.
