Are You Paying Attention?

When I was giving blood the other day, the tech that had stuck my finger for testing made the comment that she was getting “bossy” in her old age. She might have been 50, so she was really just a mature person, certainly not old, like I am. But I told her that I could relate to that. And I told her that she had every right to be…if she wanted to. And that she could expect to have that same feeling as she grows older. Why not? If you’ve been paying attention while living your life, you will have experienced and learned quite a bit by the time you reach geezerhood. You have a hard earned right to your opinions and they’re bound to be valuable. The key is paying attention.
