I have been enjoying watching the Barrett Jackson auction on Speed Channel. Imagine a 68 Camaro going for $70,000! The cars are just so good looking. I found that I am able to recognize the year and make of many of the cars in the auction just from memory. This is in stark contrast to the cars today. They all look the same and I would be lucky to tell a Toyota from a Ford or even a Cadillac.

  2. I don't get the Speed Channel so you will have to update me on the finale this weekend.

Isn't it amazing how Americans are addicted to cars? Oh, I suppose it's not just Americans...I'm sure it's "humans".

I remember standing up in the backseat of the family car and reciting the names of the vehicles as we passed them. I could tell the difference between a "46" and and "47" at a distance of 100 yards! I think that as we age, our ability to see the difference in marques begins to fail. Would glasses help? Nah!
