As I was browsing through my news the other day, I ran across an article about the most popular gambling spot in the world. Macau. This, once upon a time, Portuguese colony has overtaken Las Vegas in gaming revenue in 2006. And they were able to get that revenue with only half the visitor numbers that Las Vegas has. They want gamblers, not tourists. Of course all of the big players like Steve Wynn (and many others) have a presence there. What strange creatures we humans are. We allow people to starve in Darfur and build casinos in…well, everywhere else!
