Where there's smoke...

Another good morning; I’m warm. Maybe too warm? We haven’t heard from the furnace folks lately so it may be that they found out that we have secured an alternate heating system for ourselves. (Wood…lots of wood) So why hurry now? Maybe they drove up one day with the required parts to fix our furnace; spotted smoke coming from the chimney and drove off! It wouldn’t surprise me…

Bill sent me a video clip from the Letterman show and I was looking at it a few minutes ago. And as I usually do, I looked at some of the comments and links attached and then followed them. Whoa! I have been leading a sheltered life in the blogging world. I had no idea that you could fill your blog page with that much advertising. The posts; the actual written words of the author/blogger were definitely hard to spot. And usually hard to read. So once again I followed the links. It was on one of those links that I discovered that the gender wars were simmering quite nicely on the web. Blogher.org. A website that links you to an all-women world of blogging.

But, back to the all inclusive blogs. Besides the countless ads, there were lots of other technical widgets attached to the blogs and I liked those… a lot! (I really need to get out more often. Blogger is somewhat bland.) Yes, widget is a real word now. (Been around since 1924…who knew?) Word doesn’t even look twice at it when you type it into a sentence. And I even found a widget gallery, with over 3,700 widgets in it! I can hardly wait…
