Normal

All things appear normal enough this morning. Warm inside and chilly out. (46°) I have my coffee and the cat is already bedded down for the long hard day of napping ahead of her. What a life!

It’s time for me to look through the news. I have added the Feeds feature to My Favorites and now all of my RSS feeds are accessed this easy way. I haven’t tried it with FireFox but I’m sure it works the same way. Technology has certainly made it easy to avoid the soggy newspaper that once arrived late and under the rose bushes. Except for the comic strips…those are difficult to replace. So you can imagine my frustration when I discovered that the local rag had forgotten to include the comics in yesterday’s edition. What were they thinking? I had waited all week for those! Now I’m one week behind in the saga of Prince Valiant. Of course it is the newspaper that I love to hate and with any luck at all, they will go bankrupt. I’m counting on it!

“Iran is making defensive preparations for what it fears will be a U.S. military attack this summer, Israel's military intelligence chief said on Sunday.”

Knowing, as we do, how the bush folks think, Iran probably has good reason to be worried. As we should be.

“Israel's acting president defended on Sunday U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's planned visit to Syria, a trip the White House described as a bad idea.”

She’s violating a bush rule; never talk to the people you disagree with.

“The White House accused Democrats on Sunday of taking a chance on worsening the hardship facing U.S. troops in Iraq by delaying passage of a bill to fund the unpopular war.”

And the idiot Democrats attached ‘pork’ to the bill. Giving bush an opportunity to get in a dig or two.
