Cooling Off

A new look on the horizon. Clouds. And I can definitely feel the humidity in the air from whatever system is moving through the north state. This will cool things off for a little bit and make us believe it’s a normal June. Not!

We spent Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning up in Susanville, where it was quite warm, considering the altitude. We even made some ice cream with our new ice cream maker and that helped to cool us off before bedtime. Now that I’ve made one successful batch, I am ready to try some more exotic ice creams, such as avocado. The internet is a great source for ice cream recipes and I want to have a good recipe for the Summer Ice Cream Crank-Off at the church. I’m hoping to win! Marmalade Ice Cream? That might be a winner…
