And speaking of health, any kind of health; I was just reading the BoingBoing blog and read this about the Michael Moore movie, Sicko… “Have I mentioned how much I loved this movie? Go see it. Then do something about living in the last industrialized nation in the world without universal healthcare, a situation maintained by a staff of four healthcare lobbyists for every Congressperson.”
Erin and Mike went to see Sicko on Saturday night (we babysat). They are ready to pack their bags and move to France....Well almost. I hope this movie raises some awareness of the situation. Hopefully, Michael Moore's previous movies did not turn off half the country. We all need to become aware of it's message. We may go see it on the 4th. Everyone will be out of town and it is supposed to reach 117. A cool theater sounds pretty good.
ReplyDeleteToo true...Michael Moore is very polarizing. I happen to admire his work, but find his methods juvenile at times. I wish there were some 'Walter Cronkite' types that would get behind this movement. Too many people see the spokesman only and ignore the facts.
ReplyDeleteBut, we're talking about a public that is still enamored of Princess Diana... so it's to be expected.
