Saturday morning and it’s quite comfortable here…odd, after such a hot and humid day yesterday. We had large and dark clouds sailing over us all day yesterday, heading into the Sierra’s, where it actually rained! That would be a good thing, as there is quite a large fire just south and east of Susanville. The fire is named the ‘Antelope Complex’ and is actually a large number of separate fires with the Wheeler fire being the largest.
I did some browsing this morning and came up with these links to fire news. These are not your usual government websites and so they have some interesting news and comments. And since this fire fighting effort is now under the control of the federal government, the first course of action is to see if they can’t smother it by covering it with money; a favorite tool of the feds!
