And the Buck Stops...

That’s new. The cat wants in this morning. She has been a ‘no-show’ for the past few weeks, preferring to stay out 24/7. Oh, she might drop in for a few hours of napping on my lap, but then she leaps up at 10:30; the time we go to bed, and she heads for the door! Out! Let me out! We oblige.

Yes, it’s the cooler weather that has her returning. Does my cat love me? Yes, she loves the fact that I’m warmer than the surrounding air and warmer than most pieces of furniture. Plus, I can scratch between her ears for her.

The news; what a disaster! The Democrats are such losers; not quite as bad as the Republicans, but darn close! It’s no wonder that the legislators have lower approval ratings than bush. Unfortunately, this will translate into even lower voter numbers, something that doesn’t bother them at all. They thrive when no one bothers to vote.

And why wasn’t I surprised when it was revealed that the Pentagon lost close to 200,000 guns in Iraq. These are the same people that lose millions of dollars on a regular basis. Iraq may end up being quite wealthy just from what the Pentagon has let go astray.

But I doubt that the dollars will do much to repay the families of the over 500,000 Iraqis that have been killed so far.

And what does the Pentagon intend to tell the families of the over 3,000 American soldiers killed in Iraq…by some of those ‘lost’ weapons? Oops! Sorry!

And who is in charge of the Pentagon? My guess is that it’s the Commander-in-Chief. That’s where the buck stops; or so I have been told. Or has that dollar been lost?
