How Clever

A most excellent adventure. We drove down to Sacramento yesterday and arrived at the IKEA store about 15 minutes before their opening time. That early arrival meant we could go inside and try out their restaurant before shopping. We ate lightly; we each had a banana nut muffin and a cup of very good coffee. For the two of us, the cost was $3 and some small change. A good beginning for the day.

I know I’ve said it before, but… IKEA is a delightful place to shop. One great thing after another. And we don’t even buy most of the stuff; we just enjoy looking and marveling at the great designs.

We did require some help though; we wanted to buy a bolster pillow and although we found the spot where they should have been and we could see the sample pillow, we could not find a pillow to buy. Help was requested and the IKEA ‘help’ guy was baffled as well. He used his telephone to get the information for us; the pillows were right in front of us. Compressed and flattened in vacuum packing till they resembled shrink wrapped boards, not more than an inch thick. Even the IKEA packaging is clever.
