That's A Bunch!

Some stuff I ran across on The Smirking Chimp…

Iraq War Means More Katrinas and Minnesotas
In this video, Brent Budowsky warns that with $1.5 to $2 trillion dollars spent on the Iraq war, there will be major disasters from decaying bridges, tunnels, and in New Orleans with levees still dangerously inadequate...

Good point. And one that isn‘t mentioned very often. After all, this is an administration that has cut taxes for the rich while funding a major war (World War III) and we can all see how well that has worked. It wouldn’t be prudent for bush to mention either one of these facts in the same breath.

Let’s see…how many bridges, highways and schools could you build for $1.5 trillion dollars? (I presume this trillion dollar figure includes the $7 or $9 billion that went to Iraq, but no one can tell you where it went after that. They’re not even sure of the correct numbers)

*1,000 billion dollars = 1 trillion dollars in the Short Scale.
