And since I’m feeling less than healthy and somewhat pessimistic, I guess it’s time to look at the financial pages in the news. Oh, scary! The dollar has slipped to new lows and that raises the price of oil… and hotel rooms. Yes, hotel rates have climbed in cities like New York, where they attract foreign visitors. These visitors are coming to visit because it’s now a bargain. Well, you wanted to stay home anyway, didn’t you?

The best part of this financial ‘depth charge’ is the fact that it is sinking so many Republican ships in the elections. A fate they richly deserve. But… the Democrats are no better these days. This political party that was once aligned with the working class has defected to the moneyed class. So where does a caring voter go? I’m still leaning towards Richardson as his intelligence is readily apparent and that alone makes him the better candidate.
