Funny, but we used to live only a house or two away from here; except there weren't any houses there at the time. A large vacant lot stretched from our little brick house all the way to the school. And the brick house? The only one in MB at the time and it even had a basement, or more properly, a cellar. Let's see... that would have been 1947?
I was looking at this website and at some of the other houses for sale...Elm Street and 14th..these homes don't even look like they belong in this area. They are so huge! There is hardly anything left that reminds me of what Manhattan Beach was like when we were growing up. 2+million? Crazy...
