Local History

On our visit to San Francisco we got a chance to meet Colum’s Great-Grandparent’s, John and Phyllis Moylan. They were most gracious hosts; and I was able to spend a few minutes talking to John, where I learned that he had been a member of the Plasterers Local 66; a Local that I knew of. And later, after my Google search, I found out that he had also been President of the Local as well as the Business Agent. Quite a history. John was obviously from the ‘old school’ of plastering and knew his trade well. I hope that someone is gathering together the rest of John’s history; Colum may never decide to be a tradesman, but I’m glad to know that two of his Great-Grandfathers were…
