More of the same but different. They seem to have a few new cameras on I-80. I was just watching a pair of plows making their way down the Whitmore Grade.
Do you have an idea where the Whitmore Grade actually is along I80? It's been a few years since I was making the biweekly run up and down the pass and I can't remember where it is. BTW, I watch the cameras too... I have a friend driving for a company that hauls the mail and he calls me for weather and road reports.. lol
The way I remember it is by looking over to the left as you go up the hill...and when you see the large hotel-like structure in the space btween the east/west roads; that's the barracks for the CalTrans workers. The Whitmore 'Hotel'
