Lucky
We went out to get the mail and decided to cruise around town and see what had been damaged. There were the usual tree limbs and missing shingles, nothing really dramatic, but when we drove back home on Road P, we went by some of the almond orchards and you could see some real damage from the storm. We saw hundreds of trees uprooted and that’s just in a few orchards and only as far as we could see into the orchards. And now we have found out that we’re the lucky ones in our family. Denise , Alicia and families are still without power. And they live in the metropolis! We sort of assumed that being country dwellers, we would be last in line to get power restored. Not so. And even among the rural customers, were lucky once again, as there are still thousands without power.
