The news is filled with warnings of a possible repeat of the January 5th storm and we have made preparations for it this time. Firewood. Check. Lantern. Check. Water. Check.
"Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of rain in the morning...then rain in the afternoon. Highs 48 to 53. Southeast winds 15 to 30 mph with gusts increasing to 40 to 50 mph by late in the afternoon."
In January we were frustrated by trying to read by candlelight and we didn't want to use up our flashlight power with reading, so we stopped at Target yesterday and got the very last battery powered 'family sized' lantern. It's charging right now and should be ready to go this afternoon.
