Super Tuesday is upon us. Is there any state that won’t be involved? Why? For if it doesn’t happen today for the candidate of your choice, it won’t happen at all. Just an opinion of course. And an idle thought;
I’m almost through with David Halberstam’s book, the Coldest Winter. It has been a great book; one that has held my attention throughout. Yes, it’s a war story, a true one, but it’s also written to reveal the truth about the players in that sad drama. And as you read it, you can see why, 50 years later, that it is truly the ‘forgotten war’. No one wants to remember the criminals or the crimes that killed so many of our soldiers. It’s one thing to die in the defense of your country, but to die for the vanity of generals? I’m afraid I can’t remain objective as I read the book; after an hour or so, I’m simply mad and must put it down.
Below is a link to an opinion that ran in today's paper. My sentiments exactly! I am unable to vote today as I am registered Independent.

Can't vote? That is so wrong! California allowed it for a long time, then barred it. Now it's back, but only if you want to vote for the Dem's or AIP. The Republicans don't want any strangers at their party. And I know a neighbor who can't vote today because he didn't know that you have to REQUEST a Democratic Party ballot if you are an independent. There is some talk about opening the primnaries once again...but it's just talk. From politicians.
