Smart Move

The look and feel of my computer has changed. For the good. I was browsing through the latest copy of Smart Computing magazine and found a tip to improve performance. Go to Start/My Computer and right click. Choose Properties and then the Advanced tab. Under Performance, Visual Effects, choose Use for Best Performance. You lose some vivid colors and effects, but the gain in performance is immediate. Of course you can customize this as well if you have an attachment to some particular effect. And Smart Computing Magazine? It really is good. Plain talk. If you have ever avoided reading computer magazines because they could only appeal to, or be understood by a geek, you have to read this one.
