Speedy...not

Bad mower day. But it was resolved on a positive note. First I had to push the non-starting mower (SpeedZTR30) from its little garage out behind the far corner of the house and all of the way around the house to the driveway. Whew! I made a quick trip to Garry’s Saw Shop to see if I could use his trailer to bring it in for repair. While there, he gave me some hints as to what might be the problem. Armed with that knowledge, I was able to find the problem and the mower is operational again. Total cost was $0.

Today we’ll have another library run. Picking up books in Chico for the upcoming Friends of the Library spring book sale. And grocery shopping. With the price of fuel increasing all of the time, combination trips are going to be the norm.

Let’s see; what else is new? I just finished reading the Three Trillion Dollar War. An amazing book. The authors have amassed so much detail into a smaller than anticipated volume. Only 231 pages. In fact, despite the size, I would think that there is enough detail there to hand down an indictment against the perpetrators of this war. But that would take some courage on the part of our representatives. Something they lack. And when it comes to supporting the troops; if you don’t read this book, you’re not. If you’re going to have a valid opinion on this subject, you need to arm yourself with some facts. Putting a magnetic ribbon on your car simply won’t do it.

And I finished another book; Misquoting Jesus, by Bart D. Ehrman. Another good book and well worth reading.
