Morning Musings

But soft, what light through yonder window breaks? It is the east, and Juliet is the sun. Arise, fair sun, and kill the envious moon, who is already sick and pale with grief that thou, her maid, art far more fair than she.

That was odd? I guess it was an inspired moment as I saw the eastern sky turning silver. Yes, inspired by my faint memory of Shakespeare in the 9th grade. And I have the window open as well as the shades and I can hear the neighborhood chickens waking up. Plus some cattle and a few sheep on the neighboring acreage.

I can also report that I didn’t see any bats out flying this morning. I went out to see if I could spot some silhouetted against the sky at this hour; it’s about the only time you can see them well. But not a one! Could that be linked to the absence of mosquitoes as well? The mosquito abatement program is working well and it’s worth every penny of our taxes.
