"...said Senator Jon Kyl of Arizona, the No. 2 Senate Republican. “Let’s look at ANWR, which is a grassy plain, 2,000 acres in the middle of an area the size of the state of South Carolina, if that will make us more energy independent. Let’s set a goal for America: energy independence in 10 years.”
And when you read the oil company/administration reports on the amount of oil available, you will find the report loaded with weasel words, such as 'may', 'projected' and 'should'. And the 2,000 acres? Do you really believe that we can find enough oil to satisfy our thirst in just 2,000 acres? I think my intelligence has just been insulted.
