Lots of bats out last night and again this morning. I was standing at the sink in the kitchen and they were flying by, right outside the window and at eye level. Not that you can see them very well; they’re far too fast. Other than that, it’s sort of peaceful outside this morning. Just a hint of a breeze; not like yesterday morning where we had a gale blowing. But, the forecast says we’re in for more wind all of the way through Wednesday.
Yesterday’s local fire has most people nervous, including us. Of all of the possible disasters that you might experience, fire has to be the most feared. And probably the one we’re least prepared for. Fire is merciless.

The plan for the day is to drive in to Chico and have the cars windows tinted. Just in time for the summer. Odd, but they told me that they take all of the glass out of the car to tint it. And they tell us that it will take 'all day'...I guess we'll find out what that means. I'm not waiting around for it; I'm heading over to Bustolini's for coffee and something to read.
