From Time Goes By

Aging in the Land of Nod

I'm validated! I love my naps and now I know why...

Although, I wonder if it's genetic or cultural...or both? I seem to remember Mom taking naps, long before she qualified as being an elder.

And this, from the article - Phase Advance is the fancy medical term for the experience of going to bed earlier in the evening and waking up earlier in the morning. The sleep phase advances as we age. Many older people fall asleep early in the evening, yet awaken much earlier than desired in the morning and cannot fall back to sleep easily.

Phase Advance! I love technical terms.
