Start the day right...

So I just had this thought; it’s a good time that we’re living in. All of this political dissension is good and it’s good for us! For the past seven years the American people have been told that dissension is bad. It’s unpatriotic. Criticism of the President is Un-American! There was even talk of reviving the Alien and Sedition laws; yikes! And those of us that believed otherwise were shunned and worse, ignored. But now there is light! And with practice, we can all be good Americans once again by refusing to go along/get along. We simply need practice. Doubt. Insist on another opinion. And then another. Trust no one in power. The last one is probably the most important. Start with that one every morning and you’ll be fine. (Should I just tell you how I really feel?)

  1. The good thing about long American political campaigns is that the candidates are thrown into the crucible and as the heat is turned up the dross rises to the surface and can be tossed aside. The problem with this campaign is that, so far, McCain is getting a free ride. Once the Democrats settle their nomination we can turn our attention to McCain, turn up the heat and see what surfaces.

  2. Unfortunately, some people confuse dross with gospel. And not all candidates get an equal turn in the crucible. But, I'm still excited about all of the possibilities...
