Windy. As usual. And why is that? I don’t remember this happening last year. Well, maybe not as much or as often. And it’s tiresome. On the plus side, it makes for comfortable temperatures.
Always busy. We’re going into Chico this morning to get the airbag seat sensor replaced on the new car. That will take a few hours and we will have to find some way to occupy our time. Unfortunately, the only coffee shop within range is a Starbuck’s. Darn! But they do sell the NY Times and that’s a plus.
I was reading, somewhere, about the apparent demise of the Hummer brand. Not soon enough, but it’s symptomatic of all that is wrong with Detroit. You would have thought that GM could have seen this coming more than a few years ago. But, even as oil supplies tightened, Detroit kept saying that the American public must want SUV’s because they keep buying them. Ignoring the fact that a growing number of buyers were making Toyota quite rich. American automakers have long ignored those who were looking for an economical substitute for the usual Detroit iron and now it’s hurting them. And interesting; Tata Motors, from India, is supposedly looking at the Hummer brand.
