We’re home after a safe drive down Highway 36. We could have taken 32 but CalTrans was reporting that there were two stops for pilot cars on that route. And we saw enough burned forest on Wednesday; certainly didn’t need to see it again.
And the smoke continues to hang in. We’re all tired of the raspy throat and coughing that comes with the gray skies. Now it’s time to get the cat from the vet’s office and all will be back to normal; except for the power bill from PG&E. Did I mention that? Well, I’m not going to, except to say it’s robbery!
