My, how things change! Prices that is. I was wandering through my reconstructed journal this morning and read that I was complaining about the price of diesel fuel because it was up to $3.75 a gallon. That was in March. Current pricing? I saw a $5.10 price over the weekend. And the price of diesel affects what? Just about everything. Think about it…the grain that feeds the chicken is shipped via truck and then the processed chicken is shipped via truck. All of which makes chicken breasts cost $5 a pound. Remember when chicken was the cheap meat? I think I saw flank steak for $2.90 a pound just the other day. It’s all about economy of scale. Cows are bigger than chickens.
