And then you're gone...

OK, back to my normal life. That was fun to browse around the net and to think out loud by typing here in my journal. It’s 5:30 and still dark out there. Boo, the cat has come and gone. She is now outside, doing whatever cats do at this hour. Although napping seems to be her main occupation, we haven’t seen any mice or rats in a long time. And the ground squirrels no longer use the backyard as their personal play space. Despite all of Boo’s quirks, and there are many, she is a delight!

Now I’m having one of those odd moments where I think I need to do something or be somewhere, but I can’t remember?…so maybe I don’t? I guess it’s all part of aging. Perhaps I should re-read that book The Thing about Life Is That One Day You'll Be Dead, by David Shields. It was filled with brutal facts.

I was reading Time Goes By this morning and the subject was death. But it was OK. Honest. It does a 'body' good to think about it once in awhile.
