The Goods

Although it’s getting close to the middle of the month, the weather report continues to show an unrelenting string of sunny and clear days ahead of us. That old saying, ‘into each life, some rain must fall’ does not apply here. At least not yet.

On another subject; I did find a great book at the library and I’m well into it. The Post American World by Fareed Zakaria. Mr. Zakaria is the Senior Editor at Newsweek International, so he has a touch of the ‘Talking Heads’ approach to the subject and doesn’t go into detail in all of the places I wish he would. Perhaps there is the fear that Americans won’t buy a book that runs past 250 pages? But…the book is clearly an optimistic read. And just for that it’s invaluable. Pass it around.

And this week’s Economist is also the Technology Quarterly edition and it’s filled with all sorts of good stuff. So I’m as happy as I can be; reading things that make me happy for a change!
