Who's There?

This computer was updated once again. Microsoft sneaked in (snuck) very early in the morning and did what they had to do and then left a note before rebooting. But now the computer is running quite slow and doing some odd things? I’m getting close to that point in time where I will need to buy a new computer as I’m losing confidence in this one. It’s almost 5 years old, as I bought it in anticipation of my retirement on January 1st of 2004. We’ve already had one tragic computer failure in our family circle this year; I don’t want to add to that number. The ideal situation for computer replacement is when the old and new can be running at the same time, side by side, and you can move data from the old one to the new one with a Cat5 cable or via the wireless route. When done, the old one becomes the repository for all of the old programs that you knew you needed but only used once or twice. In fact, it’s probably those programs that are causing the speed issues! But which ones?

  1. How funny I was just adding something to my toolbar that I realized was yet another thing that went missing in the crash....
