I've always been a fan of this particular place on the planet. So this morning I took Google Earth out for a spin and found that lots of people have been there. And taken photos. Back in a former life, I always thought I could live out here quite happily. The Sierra's to the west and the White Mountains to the east. And a whole lot of space in between!
You'd have to like wind, and therefore dust storms. I have yet to be there when it wasn't grossly windy. But the springtime light and colors are fantastic!

ReplyDeleteOh, I remember the wind alright. But the open space fascinates me. That and the light. There is something special about the light in the desert; any desert.
