From Netflix to me…

The Station Agent. A great little movie in my opinion. I'm sorry, honest…I didn't mean to say 'a great little movie'. It should simply be 'a great movie'. A Freudian slip on my part? A simple movie that takes you away from the chaotic world of our everyday lives and despite some tension in the movie world of 'Fin', you can relax for awhile as there's not a terrorist in sight nor are there any guns. No car chases. One death, but that's from old age. Only one scary scene. No politicians. I already said that? Right…no terrorists!

  1. I need new glasses: I thought it said The Stallion Agent and that you had taken to watching soft-core porn!

Nice cast. Clarkson is always good; Michelle Williams went on to Brokeback Mountain and a key role in Shutter Island.

If you want to get hooked on something, start the new version of Battlestar Galactica. T. and I aren't big sci-fi fans and we couldn't stop watching.

  2. I loved "The Station Agent" and Netflix is my best friend! Finding quiet little movies is a hobby at my house. Recently: "Adam" (about Asperger's Syndrome) and "The Secret Lives of Pippa Lee." Sometimes the ones that don't make it to the box office are the best. The second one here has cameos by some real stars, but who ever heard of the movie? P.S. Freud wasn't a big movie buff, so you're safe.

  3. K; I guess I should have used BOLD CAPS for the title of the movie. That's what happens when you get older...you need all the help you can get.

One of the things that I found interesting was that halfway through the movie, the fact that 'Fin' was a dwarf was secondary to everything else. It wasn't till he climbed onto the bar that I was shockingly reminded of his dwarfism.
