Just another poll

The poll shows that I'm ahead at 78 percent, then it's Obama topping Romney 53 percent to 45 percent, beating Huckabee 54 percent to 45 percent, defeating Gingrich 55 percent to 43 percent and topping Palin 55 percent to 42.

I love being first! (Does anybody really care about these numbers? Not including politicians?)

  1. I'm going to care hugely about some numbers if Gingrich runs in 2012! At this point, though, the polling just sells advertising. I hope.

  3. Gingrich? I've got him whipped!

I guess the point I was trying to make in a clumsy and vain way was that polls have become so ubiquitous that they are irrelevant. (Wow! two big words in the same paragraph.)

Anyway, I'm not worried about polls now that I have K's vote.

  4. Steven, of course I'd vote for you, but what poll are we talking about here? The one taken in your kitchen?
I thought you were hiding from the din! I'm about ready to hide, too. Not sure I can take it anymore. Nobody knows how to speak without screaming these days. It doesn't seem to matter where I go in the blogosphere, or who is speaking. Nothing but hate, all-or-nothing threats, metaphors of violence and destruction. How did we get to this?
If you can reduce the din, I'll vote for you in ANY election.

  5. My poll was taken in the family room, thank you. Family values and all that, you know...

Too true about the lack of civility these days. I try my best to avoid the Comments section of any blog, even the cooking ones. I'm a child of the early 40's and I can't remember a time like this. What are we becoming? Is it because we are no longer #1 in many important fields? Medicine being one...Frustration seems to be fueling the anger, but with all of the screaming, it's hard to know what the problem is.
