From a State Senator: We Have A Raghead In The White House, Don’t Need One As Governor (UPDATED)
What is it about South Carolina politics? Is it something in the water they drink?
I shouldn't be this cruel, but in this case I will be. There is no way that this SC politician will ever be accused of adultery...unlike others in that poor, abused, state government.
I have issued a blanket apology for South Carolina in a blog post devoted to the state's politics and the state in general: http://www.maturelandscaping.com/2010/04/fools-paradise.html.
ReplyDeleteThis won't make me more popular in my state of primary residence, but it's my opinion that SC should secede from the Union out of sheer embarrassment and self-induced mortification. Or I should secede from SC. Or the Union should just ignore SC as the pitiful, ignorant drag that it is.
Sarah Palin came to town to back Nikki Haley. Then, there were two accusations from true Southern Gentlemen, (one of whom works for her opposition Andre Bauer) who claimed to have had affairs with the married Ms. Haley.
SC is kind of like People Magazine for the rest of the country...you sure as hell don't base your national policies on anything you take from that source. How did South Carolinians like Jim DeMint and Lindsey Graham come to hold such sway?
But, hey, don't get me started....
It is weird...Charlotte is very close to the SC border, yet they are unaffected it seems? In fact, I've spent a lot of time in Charlotte and it's one of my favorite cities. (Shrimp and grits, Buster's BBQ...oh, boy!)
ReplyDeleteI think it's the heat and humidity. Hey is Pedro's still there? The great "south of the border" tourist trap.
ReplyDeleteYes, the billboards for South of The Border are still there. And there's real beauty along the coast. But the politicos must have been drinking out of Myrtle Beach's Withers Swash (toxic!).
ReplyDeleteCharlotte is a lovely town. Let me know next time you're headed that way.
