Curse you, Blogger!
I hate, absolutely hate, the anti-spam device that Blogger offers for the comment sections. It takes an average of 5 tries before I get one I can see and understand. I'll tell you what it does...if I see that the two words are unintelligible, I stop right there and will not leave a comment. I suppose that's a good thing; sometimes.

I also hate word verification. When blogger set up this new version, it puts it up as the first option. I went in and set it to not have word verification on my blogs. But when I just rechecked it, it showed it as being there. I feel the same way you do about it as i have a hard time reading them. I am sure they reduce commenting and worse you don't know it's there on your own blog as it doesn't show up for the blog authors.
