Later in the day...memories
I now have my last cup of coffee in hand and I am downloading some old music. I’m talking “old”, like in 1946 old. It’s quite a list; Dinah Shore, Frank Sinatra, Dolly Dawn and Her Dawn Patrol, Bing Crosby, Shep Fields, Dick Haymes and Spade Cooley. Oh, there are easily a dozen more…and surprisingly I seem to remember some of the songs. Now I was 6 at the time, so how much of that music do I really remember? Or do I just imagine it? And as for Spade Cooley, I really remember him only as the announcer on the television broadcast of the wrestling matches and roller derby in the 1950's…which we had to watch whenever our grandmother stayed over for the weekend.
